How do you explain Daylight Savings Time to a 7month old??

Okay, seriously! The whole "Fall Back" thing seems like nothing but a minor inconvenience - that is until you have children. Then it becomes a MAJOR pain!! So seriously, how do you explain to 7 month old twins that 6am is really 5am and that's waaaay too early to wake up? How do explain that although they are hungry we are trying to do everything 1/2 hour later today than yesterday?? I have NO IDEA because it totally backfired on me today. It was a cranky day that ended in all out mayhem at bedtime. I moved everything 30 minutes back, but these kids are on a schedule that apparently leaves little room for negotiation!! BABIES!!!

On a fun note. The day was not without reward. Cookie held on (while eating) his very own biscuit today! This is a first. In the past he would hold onto his biscuit and would chew on his biscuit - but not at the same time. Mommy had to hold the biscuit while he gummed it OR he would hold onto it but NOT but it in his mouth. Yippee Cookie!

As for Miss Kiss. She got up on her hands and knees for the FIRST time today. She has been exploring the whole crawling thing, but this was a first to get on all fours and rock. She actually moved one hand and one foot forward and then went SPLAT onto the ground. The indignity of it all!!

Will keep you posted on how we fair with the time change and with the crawling and eating. Such exciting times in the life of twins.

That time change, so tricky. Yay for Cookie and his cookie. Holding it like a big boy. That Kiss will be up to more mischief very soon. She is on the verge of new maneuvers.

Crazy to think that just one hour could cause such havoc! Looks like we may need to baby proof our house sooner than we thought! That crazy Kiss is well on her way to crawling around and showing Cookie how it's done!! Yay Cookie for challenging his selectively active self. Lots of love to everyone!
