Woo Hoo for Two!!

We kicked off the Terrific Twos in style with a trip to LA to visit family & friends.  It was a terrific start to a terrific year.  I am really looking forward to the "Twos" and if he beginning is any indication of how the year will be - it can't help but be - you guessed it - TERRIFIC!!!


Fairy Godmother made marshmallow cupcakes that were Terrific! They were THAT good!

The Godfather whipped up an assortment of gourmet pizzas that were met with approval from both Kiss and Cookie (as well as the rest of us!).  "Pastees" (Pizza in Kiss language) is Kiss' favorite food (along with marshmallow cupcakes).  Terrific job Godfather!!

It was all so delectable that I came back to TX 5lbs heavier (not so terrific).  A small price to pay for eats that good!

Then we went to the Happiest Place on Earth (Disney Land) with my Cousin and her family

It was a total and terrific blast!!!

 And to top off this terrific trip we had brunch with my Aunts and Cousin the next day.

In short, it was a super terrific way to usher in the Terrific Twos.  Thanks to everyone that made this Birthday so special for our entire family!

It's really pretty funny but how some kids have a favorite stuffed animal or doll- well mine have a favorite huge rubber rat, complete with blood dripping out the corner of it's mouth.

Dear Kiss and Cookie

The second year of your lives has come and gone...and it was an incredible experience for everyone.

As a Mother I truly began to experience "parenting" this past year. Year One was spent in a joyous utopia of newness whereas Year Two brought tantrums and "No Ways" and sleep deprivation known only to other mothers and POWs! This year had amazing highs and also some lows (I never dreamed that dealing with anger would be part of parenting - but it really makes me MAD when you push all my buttons at once!!) and mostly it came with tremendous growth. The kind that for the two of you was obvious (physical, cognitive, social..) as well as the more subtle personal growth for me as a woman, a caregiver and simply as a person. It was perhaps the best year of my life. I wonder if I will say that each year on the 13th of March? I suspect that I always will.

Know today and everyday that I cherish you and that every decision I make is with the two of you in mind. I love you more than there will ever be words to express and my Birthday wish for each of you is that the certainty of my love is a cornerstone in your lives.

On your Birthday I would like to take a moment to say my thanks.

Thank you to the Universe for Your Divine gift, thank you to Cookie and Kiss for your love, trust, kisses and joy, thank you to my Husband for his support and his unquestioned devotion to his children, and a great big thank you to my very amazing friends and family. The last two years have been incredible and I am blessed beyond words to share these amazing children with the world.

Just a couple of zoo animals

Running super fat behind the blog posts..... But figured I throw up a quick post Disney post!
BCS has rolled up the carpets for Spring Break, I literally saw every MD that was practicing this week on Wed & Thur (apparently they worked the first part of the week while I was at Disney) so thought- what the heck! Let's head to the Zoo.

It was a super fun day and ended even better- GramA & GramP were at the house when we got home! These kids are starting hitting "two" hard and lovin it!! More on the adventures of Kisd and Cookie soon!!
