Aunties and Cousins and "Firsts"". SO MUCH FUN!

My sister and her two girls (ages 8 and 5) came to visit over Memorial Day weekend. We had so much fun and truly appreciated the time and effort it took for them to travel to fabulous College Station, Texas. It ALWAYS rains when my sister visits and this time was no exception, but it did manage to wait until we went to the "Lagoon" pool(a first for Kiss and Cookie) so at least we were already wet. The girls were really excited to play with Pixie and Bratwurst (and the babies, of course). The dogs LOVED the attention and were a bit sad to see them go (esp. Bratwurst....Pix can get a little overwhelmed!)

Adventures abounded during their trip with a mandatory Chuck E Cheese visit. It was a first for the babies and the first this decade for me. All in all it was actually rather fun, although it would have been better if they served beer (everything is better with beer!)

With so many adventures we needed to take some well deserved R&R...at the nail salon! Here we got to swap firsts - this was a FIRST PEDICURE for the girls! It was a lot of fun to watch them and to see the excitement over such pretty toes. Now this is an activity that I can really get behind! (Kiss and Cookie didn't get to participate this time...soon enough!)

We also had time for lots of play....it was a joy to see the cousins getting to know one another. Wish we were closer.....

On the morning of their departure Miss R. serenaded the babies over breakfastCheck out it out "Live"!

So much fun! First haircuts (see previous blog), splashing at the splash pad (babies slept), getting rained out at the pool, first pedicures, first Chuck E Cheese...wow! We sure were sad to see you go, but will see you in July for more fun and maybe even a few more "firsts".
