The Holidays!

So whew!! What a hectic time it has been. I feel like am just coming out from under the Holiday cloud and we are already 3 weeks into the new year. I really dig saying twenty ten!! Go 2010!! It is super hard for me to believe but the twins are now 22 months old and just right around the corner from turning TWO. Incredible!!

Cookie had a great Christmas and a very fun New Year. He is a big boy these days and loves to dance dance dance to the new guitar from Grandma and Grandpa L and all the fun instruments he got from many fine folks. He really digs his "smoking jacket" (robe) from his Auntie J and his Bity Twin from his Auntie A. Another new favorite activity is to "ba ba ba" into his new microphone from Miss A.

A few of his favorite things these days are:

Fruit. He is a fruit bat and loves all kinds of fruit.
Dancing! as always
Stomping his feet to see his new shoes "light up"
Throwing...anything and everything!
Playing on the new deck
Bear hugging all the animals (they don't really appreciate it!)
Pull hair and torment his sister!!
His true loves are his 1) Blanket and 2) Pacifier
There is always a giggle just waiting to break free and a hug at the ready. He is a joy and wonder to be with!!

Kiss also had a great Christmas. She LOVED ripping into the wrapping paper and finding new treasures. By the time the Holiday was over she was an expert gift opener! She is a very busy toddler and well on her way to big girl these days. She loves to twirl to the music and will tell you if whats on the radio is twirling music or not! She really digs the play kitchen that she got from Santa and will tell you to "sit sit" while she fixes you a cuppa with pepper! Shaking the pepper on top of the cup is her signature! She still loves to push her babies in the stroller as well as to ride her new cars on the new deck. Life is good!

A few of her favorite things these days are:

Going to the potty!
Reading books with Daddy
Pointing out all her numerous boo boo's (quite proudly I might add)
Getting stamps and stickers
Playing in her kitchen and sitting at her table
Tattling on her brother
Giving kisses to her Mommy (my favorite)!!

New Addition to the Family!

Dear All,

After a few months of uncertainty, MamaFox and PappaBear are so excited to announce that we've been expecting a new addition to the family!

Potty Time!

MamaFox went out for some fun with her fabulous friend, Miss L. (actually Mrs. L) tonight. So PappaBear stayed snuggled up at home with his two favoirte Bear Cubs: Cookie and Kiss!

As it turns out, we had a really big night. Right Cookie? Right!

Okay, most of it was just routine: the cubs helped me do some laundry. Then, Kiss spied her favorite chair on top of the clothes drier (acually, it's their frog potty).
She pointed and asked for her "otty." So I put it (and her) down. By the time I turned around, Kiss had her diaper half off... so off it came. She sat down, laughed, got up and ran into the other room. False alarm.

Then, Kiss ran in and sat back down on the potty.

It turns out, she had run out of the room to retrieve a book....!
She fidgeted and squirreled around for a bit...(she also opened the book and might have glanced briefly at a page or two)....
Then....ta da!
She was so proud of herself (I was so proud of her and so happy for her, too)!
She then used the potty again before bath! So Dec. 28th was definitely a big night!

As for MammaFox, don't feel bad that she missed all the excitement. This was really the second (and third) time that Kiss has used the potty. The first time was nearly three months ago (Oct 2nd) and happened the night that MammaFox had returned home from a four-day district meeting.

I still think that Kiss waited until she could show BOTH MamaFox and PapaBear how big she was getting....

There are over two and a half million lights on display/ Today, more than 80% are LED lights. The colors are extremely bright, rich & vivid and use about 90% less electricity than conventional bulbs....!




Did we mention that it was a Texas-style adventure....?

November Grandparent Visit

Life has been a bit nuttier than usual, but things have begun to settle down and it is time to get to the blog!
November was a BIG month in our house. On the 12th my folks came for a short visit. It was lots of fun...

Kiss thought Grandma L as a pirate was hilarious!!

Friday the Thirteenth was a very good day! We had Kindermusik in the morning and in the afternoon I found out that I still had a job AND that my territory hadn't changed (much). Yippee for Friday the thirteenth!!

Hula hooping is all the rage...and Kindermusik has the beat! Check out Grandma and Kiss...they could be in the next hooping workout video!

After a fun filled day of hooping and playing it was time for a snack. Grandma style!

Grandpa and Cookie had lots of fun bonding and reading books!

It was wonderful to see my parents and to share Cookie and Kiss with them. We had a great trip and we were thrilled that they were able to make it. They left on the 16th to drive the Pee Hoopdie (my old car from college) back to WI.
