REWIND!!! GramA's July Adventure!

We came home one day in July to a perplexing sight...Kiss and Cookie were cleaning...

Here's Kiss vacuuming the kitchen...

Cookie was busily dusting and picking-up the house....

Why you might ask...? GramA was coming for a week-long visit!

Spoiled children abound when GramA comes to visit...we mean Popsicles in the tub spoiled!

Kiss and Cookie to PapaBear FAQ Moderator: Don't mess with GramA or our Popsicles!

.....okay....sorry.

GramA also took the kids to the Splash Pad...here they are splashin' it up.

We're only new getting settled back into our routine after our week-long trip back home.

Thanks for all the help! We miss having you around!

A couple of wonder Twins miss you, too!

We'll see you later in the Year!

Uncle P on the Mend

Uncle P was hurt (badly) in a freak skateboarding accident.

He was showing Cousin R some of his "old school" thrasher moves...

Channeling Rob Dyrdek, he started off strong...but went airborne! He came down (head first) onto the concrete.

Auntie A--realizing he had no bump on his head but was feeling very ill--brought him to the ER.

They found he had "blood on the brain." The bleed has clotted and he is now stable; we are hopeful that the clot will dissipate on it's own and won't require surgery.

It was very scary and a very serious situation, unfortunately.

Long story short, Kiss and Cookie are super excited to say the Uncle P is "out of the woods" and is expected to make a full recovery!

Feel better soon, Uncle P!

LOVE, Kiss and Cookie!

Family Reunion: What does the Lion Say?

We all have our ups and downs in life....Today, Kiss and Cookie did too! Grandma, Grandpa, Big-Cousin R, and PapaBear took them for a 5 minute Terror Ride on the Carousel. I must admit, neither were please by the experience.

Perhaps it was the loud, high-pitched carousel music? Perhaps it was the caravan of hard-shelled uncomfortable animals? Perhaps it was from going around in nauseating circles for the first time in their lives? No. It was probably just because MamaFox wasn't there...!

Kiss started to settle into it and we did manage to get some photos...

At least Grandma looks like she's having some fun!
This is the closest we managed to get Cookie onto a propper zoo animal...poor Cookie!

Once the Carousel ride ended (yeah!), the fun began! The day was hot, so we stopped for a cold-one. Drink drink drink!

We started cruising around the zoo and the kids loved the different animals!

They saw polychromic bears!
They saw lions (and the lions saw them)! An Emu even came arouund to see the Wonder Twins!
There was a big 'ol Bison grazing on the house...
But best of all, they saw a giraffe (one of their favorite animals right now)...mine too!A Native from these-here-parts, Big Cousin R served as a guide and, when needed, interpreter to the animals. I've had some recent exposure to the Basenji, however, my Basenji is still terrible! (it's the dialect of the silence). As such, Big Cousin R did a great job as our interpreter and she got us out of the zoo on time!!

Tired, but excited Kiss and Cookie had a great time (and so did we!).

Family Reunion: Part Dux

Kiss and Cookie ended up doing their fair share of driving too...they made their way to Sunday brunch!

The welcome wagon was waiting to lend a hand (and to love on our favorite babies!)

Here is our intrepid Cookie moments before Brunch...

...and Kiss....They enjoyed the great eats and seemed to have a particular affection for Uncle T's Spinach Quiche! They grazed so rabidly at the table and we could only catch images of them eating using this special high-speed photography!

It should be no surprise that they also had a special affection for Uncle T and Aunt P...here they are doting on Cookie (who probably left with a pound of Spinach Quiche in his belly!).

Everyone "rolled up their sleeves" and played with Kiss and Cookie, who both had great fun!
Great Grandma's could be a professional baby wrangler (lots of experience!).
Kiss with Great Grandma...see the family resemblance? Good Genes!
Here's Cookie and Kiss with Uncle T (who plays a mean Peek-a-Boo)!

Great Grandma, a champion "Peek-a-Booer," gets a giggle out of Kiss.

Kisses for Cookie from Great Grandpa!

Buddies forever!
MORE kisses for Cookie!

Alas, nap time rolled around, so we tried to get some last minute posted group shots....it didn't work out too well...

After a sad round of "farewell for now", it was back in the Baby Mobile (they were exhausted!)!

The adventure continues...!

Family Reunion: Part 1

Kiss and Cookie earned some frequent flier miles this past week!

As usual, they were invited to all the best parties.

Here they are posing with some of their peeps:

After their run on the red carpet, they spent quality time with some VIPs:

They also managed to let loose and to "get their play on!" Grandma brought them some heirloom toys. Cookie was quick to note that this "cell phone" had a cord and a rotary dial! Silly grandma!!!!

Here's Kiss playing with the box that the toys came in!

Unfortunately, it wasn't all fun and games. Cookie bonked his head (but good) on a planter outside. It looks terrible and it did hurt. MamaFox and I still feel terrible about it.

Thankfully, there were no fewer than 4 health care professionals on site! Uncle J, a prominent ER doc, gave Cookie the thumbs-up for even the most strenuous playtime:

Cousin A shared that she also bonked her head on the same (evil?) planter years ago....

Family footsteps....

Congratulations to Dr. Fairy Godmother!

I was thrilled to get a call from Kiss and Cookie's Fairy Godmother this afternoon....

After many years of research and adventures, she has completed her PhD dissertation!

I'm not prone to tears, but...

Charissa and I are just so proud of you!

Welcome to the club...!

Congratulations and much love!
